The energy demands are predicted to grow significantly over the next decades due to a larger population -- 8.7 billion by 2030 and 9.7 billion by 2050, according to predictions from the United Nation -- and to a better quality of life. It represents a tremendous career opportunity for young professionals. Engie Brazil has been deeply involved in the sector for decades with large investments in renewable energy. Hearing from such an important player in the country allows our students to be more aware of the impacts of using different energy resources to produce the energy that powers their computers and smartphones and to get engaged in the process of becoming global citizens.
