It is an honor to officially announce that Our Lady of Mercy School  will be present to Session II of NHSMUN 2019!  

 

For the last fourteen years, OLM has actively attended the National High School Model United Nations in New York! This year, five students will be participating of the conference and have been very excited not only in preparing themselves to write position papers but also learning how to diplomatically deal with several questions that have been a challenge in the past years.

In 2019 they will be representing three different committees:

UNPFII representing Peru, LAS representing Saudi Arabia, and UNESCAP representing the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

UNPFII: UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues

Violence Against Indigenous Women and Dispossession of Indigenous Communities

LAS: League of Arab States

Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and The Qatar Diplomatic Crisis

UNESCAP: UN Economic & Social Commission for Asia & the Pacific

Addressing Barriers Faced by Minority Groups in the Workplace  and Developing Mental Health Policy and Improving Outcomes
