The International Festival is meant to celebrate distinct cultures through genuine costumes, international cuisine, folkloric music and dances. Teaching students to embrace their differences helps create an atmosphere of respect and appreciation towards each other in and outside of school. 

 

Last Saturday afternoon, we celebrated cultural variety with food, performances and exhibits that represent the rich assortment of heritage in the OLM school and community. This year, many different countries from all over the world joined us as we “gave peace a chance”. The Vatican, the USA, Brazil, Vatican, Israel, Portugal, Ireland, Uruguay, Germany, Argentina, Iraq, Spain, Russia and China all displayed beautiful and delicious samples of national traditions.

 

We already look forward to next year’s edition!
