SUSMUN 2015

Atlanta - Georgia

We really enjoyed Atlanta, but we had to write position papers before we actually went to the conferences. The position papers involved a lot of research and serve to guide us during the conferences. After we were done, we counted down the days until the trip.

The plane ride was long, but we finally arrived to Atlanta, where we got to see: The World of Coca Cola, The Atlanta Aquarium, The Historical Center of Atlanta, The Lenox Mall and a strip mall with a Wal-Mart, all before the conferences. This helped ease our nervousness, as we patiently waited for the conferences to begin.

At the beginning of the conferences, I was scared because I didn´t know what to do. But eventually, with the help of the staff and some friends I made along the way, I got more comfortable. We got to meet people from many different places and it showed us what our lives would be like if we choose a career in politics. We discussed the topics in form of debate and came to resolutions. It helped build our problem solving, research and communication skills. SUSMUN was a great experience.
