ART - Monet
This school year the Art program is based on the 4 seasons, having a few artists representing each one of them. We have started with spring time, as it is approaching and one of ours selected artists is Claude Monet due to his variety of painting on his garden.
Monet was a French artist that helped to develop the Impressionism movement: artists that were seeking to capture the light on specific moments and see how the colors could change along the day and seasons. Monet lived in Geverny, France, where his garden can still be visited. The Impressionism was a revolution in the arts, reason for being rejected several times by the traditional art galleries but also preparing the path for Modern Art.

In Elementary School we had finger painted Monet’s Japanese bridge, painted and built his Pond of Water Lilies, studied shading through his landscapes and more!!! Enjoy the pics and check the Arts’ schoology for more!
