Students and parents from grades 8th through 11th were presented to the Operation Wallacea program of scientific expeditions. We were privileged to have Dr. Tim Coles, founder of OpWall and professor of Oxford University (UK), propose a two week experience in the Ecuadorian Amazon and coast of Peru sites in July 2019, assisting with real ongoing biodiversity and conservation surveys alongside with scientists and academics from all over the world. Our students were very pleased and excited with this unique opportunity of both personal and academic development. We hope to form a group from OLM to stretch boundaries and help making a difference in ecological practices.
