My name is Alex Hill and I am a 3rd grade student teacher this year at OLM working with Ms. Franklin.

I am in the graduate program at Lewis University getting my masters in elementary education with an ESL endorsement. Previous to pursuing my teaching career I worked in corporate America sales and also coached collegiate volleyball. My undergrad is in business where I played college volleyball as well. My previous working experience guided me to follow my passion and that is why I am here. I love teaching and feel so fulfilled doing it.

I am so excited to be at OLM and soaking up every minute of this experience.

Hello! My name is Rebekkah Gresh. I am a student teacher from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. I am studying to be a science teacher and I am currently working with the middle school science teacher Carla Mendes. I love teaching science and when I was in the United States, I worked at my University’s observatory and planetarium. There I taught astronomy to college students and the public. At home, I like to spend time with my six older siblings and do things like hike, canoe, and garden. I also enjoy reading, writing, painting, and playing video games. In the future, I plan on attending graduate school to obtain a master degree in environmental science.  I am very excited to be here at OLM and I hope we have a great semester!

My name is Daniel Kosogof and I am from Kensington, MD just outside of Washington DC. I go to school at La Salle University in Philadelphia where I Major in Education as well as History. At La Salle I competed for their Cross Country team as well as their Track and field teams as a distance runner, a sport I have competed in since seventh grade. While I no longer race competitively I do still run a few times a week and I am a huge enthusiast for most adventure sports, particularly anything done on a mountain. When I return to the United States I hope to teach in the mountains of western Maryland where I can continue pursuing my passions of teaching and the outdoors together. I would like to thank all of you for making this experience amazing and being so friendly towards all us. It means so much to be greeted with open arms in a foreign place that you are not used to, so from all of us thank you and have a great year.

She also is a NOYCE Scholar, a program through NSF (National Science Foundation) that provides scholarships, stipends, and programmatic support to recruit and prepare STEM majors and professionals to become K-12 teachers. Through NOYCE, Emily has visited the Kennedy Space Center and Washington, D.C. for the NOYCE Summit, to present her research on the “Attitudes of Middle School and High School Students in High-Needs Districts Regarding STEM”.
