HALLOWEEN PARTY

We are celebrating HALLOWEEN this month! It is a national festival celebrated each year in the United States on October 31. It takes place the day before all Saints Day.

Children wear costumes on this day and dress like witches, ghosts, pumpkins, etc. Special games are played at Halloween, such as bobbing for apples and fortune telling and ghost stories.

Our school Halloween Party will be on October 28, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00P.M.

There will be a R$10.00 (ten reais) entrance fee per adult, which will be charged at the entrance (“portaria”), on the day of the party. We would like to invite our OLM Community and their guests to participate in all the spooky and fun activities that we’re planning:

COSTUME PARADE: It starts at 3pm. Students from Preschool, First and Second Grades can participate. They can sign up at the party, before the parade.

DANCE PRESENTATION: It starts at 4pm. Students from the Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades are working with their music teachers on a dance presentation, which will take place soon after the Costume Parade, in our front court.

HANSEL & GRETEL PLAY: We’ll have a short play (João and Maria), by Maria Clara Machado, which will be performed by the Middle School Drama Class students. The performances will be at 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm and 5:30pm, at the auditorium.

HAUNTED HOUSE: Organized by our High School Students. It’s one of our most popular events in the Halloween party.

SPECIAL GAMES BOOTHS: We’ll have tents/booths set up throughout the school grounds, to where the children may buy tickets and play a variety of games.

On Tuesday, October 31, the students will be TRICK-OR-TREATING at the school and they may wear black clothes on this day. If they (students) choose to not wear black, they must come in regular school uniform.
