ACTIVITIES
Mr. Viana’s activity is to organize an exhibit about the city of Rio de Janeiro, in a fun and interactive way.
With maps of the city (to show Rio's problems due to geographic issues), games, a huge 3D map, and a mural. Mr. Viana wants this project to be presented to the entire school in February, in order for everyone to take advantage of it and learn during the entire month.
For this project, Viana is organizing his class in three groups:
Group 1– They are learning how to produce a map of Rio de Janeiro City in 3D.
Group 2- They are working on the mural, which will show the rest of the school what they have been working on and why they decided to partake in the project.
Group 3- This group is preparing the games for the OLM students.
‘’As we know, not all students really love/like geography. So we are trying to make this class more entertaining for them by explaining in an informal way why we have floods, mudslides or even heat waves.’’
Even foreign students want to take part in this project!
