Seventh graders were given the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and reinforce concepts thought in both Science and Geography classes with this visit to the EMBRAPA and JARDIM BOTÂNICO grounds on April 31st, 2014.

 

During the morning, they attended to a very informative lecture with PhD. Claudio Capeche, concerning soil conservation and managment, were familiarized with the routine practices of three research laboratories and were able to reveal their artistic talents through an interactive activity using paints made out of different types of soil.

 

After a delicious barcecue lunch, they headed to Jardim Botanico were they enjoyed a tour with two private guides - a very fruitful afternoon dynamically learning about our flora and ways of preserving our biological diversity and richness.

 

Curious facts intrigued students throughout this one-hour tour, which left students with the taste of "want some more" after the trip.
