PEP RALLY - BIG 8 2013
"In all other sports, if you miss the catch all you lose is the ball."
With Big 8 getting closer each day, all those involved are getting ready for the competition.
Extra practices, games, meetings - these things have become common for all student-athletes.
These preparations will culminate on pep rally day, when all athletes and coaches are introduced
to the whole school, and the traditional Students vs. Teachers games will take place. The Cheerleading dances, both the Cheer and Themed choreographies, will be presented during the event. The cheerleaders will also wish the best of luck to all those traveling to the competition and raise the school spirit.
We are the mighty Lancers Team,
we are gonna rock our team to the V-I-C-T-O-R-Y !
GO!
FIGHT!
WIN !

In preperation for Big 8, the cheerleaders have been working very hard. To fundraise for the expenses of getting shoes, costumes for the themed choreography, among others, a Cheer Camp was done on October 5th. Cheer Camp is a day when all students from Elementary and Middle School are called to come and learn the basics of being a cheerleader, including stunts, jumps, tumbling and cheers. Aside from fundraising, this activity helps motivate kids to become cheerleaders in the future by showing them how much fun it can be.

For this year's Big 8 choreographies, the cheerleaders have prepared lots of new and exciting improvements. New stunts, jumps and tumbling, as well as an increase of the team's size, going from 8 to 10 cheerleaders. This helps to make the choreographies more dynamic and appealing to the audience.
The 2013-2014 High School Cheerleading Squad consists of Isabella Nothaft (12th) as captain, Leticia Figueiredo (10th) as co-captain, Adele Nader (10th), Maria Clara Fabrini (10th), Gabriela Lustosa (9th),
Paula Camara (9th), Beatriz Machado (9th), Rafaella Benjamin (9th),
Luisa Bonilha (9th), Alice Phipps (12th), Nathalia Crespo (12th)
and the Coach Luana Nobre. We hope to see you all on Pep Rally Day!
