The 4th graders went to Complexo Lagunar da Zona Oeste and learned a lot about how to preserve our environment. As students observed the animals in their natural habitat, the "manguezal", they were able to better understand the importance of not polluting water and the consequences that development can bring to such areas.

They saw fishermen practicing  "pesca de subsistência" and learned about its importance to society.

Although is was a short trip, students made the most of it.
