The fifth graders had a blast on our field trip to Bananal on November 26, 2014. The learning started on the bus, with the history guides along with Ms. Andrade talking about the geography and history of the areas we traveled through. Students got to see how coffee farms actually looked liked and functioned back in the days. They saw a "senzala", torture tools, and many other things that involved masters and slaves. They were all awed to see that much of history right in front of them.

 

Learning can also take place outside!
