The Candle and Cross celebration marks the beginning of the First Communion celebrations.

The kids and their parents renew the promises of their baptism and the kids receive the cross

they will use on the big day of their First Communion.

The candle reminds them that Christ is the light of the world and

the cross that Jesus Christ is within us.
